Reheating Instructions

  • If at all possible, all dinners that have been frozen should be thawed in the refrigerator before reheating. The preferred method would be to let the food thaw overnight and all of the next day in your refrigerator (or for at least 8 hours while you are at work).

  • If you have trouble deciding what you might like the day before, choose 2 meals at a time so that you will have a choice later. As long as you consume the food within 3 days after refrigeration, we can guarantee the freshness and quality of the product that is being provided.

  • DO NOT place frozen food on your kitchen counter or in your sink to thaw. Leaving frozen food out at room temperature for longer than 2 hours is not recommended and is not considered a healthy practice.

  • As a reminder, additives or preservatives are not used in the preparation of your meals.

  • Individual reheating instructions have been provided for each meal. Most will be reheated in the microwave for added convenience, usually reheating in about 2 to 4 minutes for individual servings or 4 to 6 minutes for two servings. More time will be needed when reheating additional servings or if the meals are frozen.

  • When using the microwave always use the REHEAT or MED-HI setting, if available on your microwave oven. When you use the standard (HIGH) setting you are more likely to dry out the food I have prepared. Always heat for 1-2 minutes and then stir or rotate the product. Continue cooking another 2-4 minutes until hot. Take care not to overcook.

  • If the contents of your meal looks a little dry, add 1 to 2 T. of water to the container before reheating.

  • Some meals are best if freshly baked in the oven. The time may vary, but most often the meals will be baked for 20-40 minutes. The exact instructions will be printed on the label. When baking in the provided containers, place the container(s) on a cookie sheet or baking pan and then place on the middle rack of your oven. DO NOT EXCEED 375 degrees for these products. Always remove the plastic lid before baking.
